Charge Nurse - MedSurg, Nights

Role Overview: Responsible for coordinating the delivery of high-quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle and managing operational issues during shifts. Provides clinical care as needed based on patient census and communicates patient care, departmental concerns, and staff issues to leadership. Acts as a resource and guide for nursing staff. Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience required; 2 or more years preferred.Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license (Georgia or multistate), BCLS required. Advanced specialty certification, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, PEARS, and Pediatric certifications required depending on unit. Emergency nurses must obtain PALS within 30 days. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate nursing care delivery, handle operational issues, provide clinical support, and serve as a resource for staff. Maintain compliance with certification requirements pertinent to the specialty and patient needs.
