Charge Nurse - ICU, Nights

Responsibilities

• Captures and coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a nursing program
• Work Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required, 2 or more years preferred
• Licenses and Certifications: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License required, BLS certification required, ACLS certification required, PALS certification required, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required, NRP certification required, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program required, PEARs Certification required, ACLS and PALS Certification required (with 30 days to obtain PALS for experienced ED nurses), ACLS and PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients required
