Charge Nurse CNC Labor and Delivery
About the Role
We are seeking a Charge Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for our Women’s Services Unit. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity environment as a leader. Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of laboring mothers
- Assist in deliveries, including C-sections
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Provide leadership to your nursing team during your designated shift
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or hold appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if compact license is held)
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and basic PC skills

About the Facility
HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400-bed acute care hospital in Brandon, FL. Services include a heart & vascular center, behavioral health center, and a women’s center with a 36-bed neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital also features a reflux center and a bariatric center. Recognized as a top 100 hospital in America multiple times, its ICU has been named a top 100 ICU.
