ChAP Director (NTT Faculty Position)
Overview
The Rutgers University School of Social Work is seeking a non-tenure, teaching or professional practice track (NTT) faculty member to serve as the MSW program's Promoting Child and Adolescent Well Being Certificate Program (ChAP) Director. ChAP aims to educate master’s level students in implementing developmentally-informed interventions in their social work careers with infants, children, adolescents, and families, regardless of their practice specialization and across various practice domains and child-serving systems.
Responsibilities
- Teach between 3 and 6 courses per year (determined by the number of students participating in the program)
- Develop and place students in child and adolescent-related practicum learning settings
- Oversee student placement experience
- Manage student experience in the certificate program
- Teach Seminars in Field Instruction (SIFI)
- Represent the school and the certificate program in the University and the community
- Contribute to curriculum development
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
All NTT faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly/professional dissemination and service activities in accordance with their rank.
Qualifications
- PhD in Social Work or closely related field
- Experience in teaching and/or practice in child and adolescent populations
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
Pay
This is a 12-month (calendar year) New Brunswick-based position subject to contractual renewals. Rank appointment and salary is commensurate with experience.
