About the role

Helen of Troy is seeking a strategic Channel Strategy Manager for its Wellness Department, focusing on sales for brands including Honeywell, PUR, Braun, and Vicks. The role is hybrid, with work scheduled on Tuesdays through Thursdays and flexibility on Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the critical pivot point between Brand and Sales teams to drive merchandising, promotions, and commercial strategy for wellness brands.
  • Develop and execute channel strategies, support and monitor key initiatives like universal pricing policy, and inform customer-facing recommendations.
  • Embed external retail insights into business planning, guide customer teams with clear strategy and selling direction, and ensure plans are executed with excellence.
  • Support the development and refinement of channel strategies at the category and enterprise level for the Wellness portfolio of brands.
  • Translate strategy into assortment, shelving, pricing, and promotion guidance for sales and cross-functional partners.
  • Track and surface channel risks with recommended solutions.
  • Influence upstream brand planning with customer and shopper insights.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing and Innovation teams for channel strategy during new product development.
  • Guide customer teams on feasibility and ensure proposals meet profitability requirements.
  • Prepare brand-aligned selling narratives, category insights, and recommendations for customer line reviews, modular resets, and customer presentations.
  • Leverage syndicated data to monitor performance and inform shelf productivity, assortment efficiency, and merchandising effectiveness.
  • Support audit and collaborate across sales ops and sales leads to enforce universal pricing policy, including recommendations on stop ships, process improvements, and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner with sales ops to help support allocation scenarios, guide recommended channel and customer quantities, and coordinate input from key teams.
  • Coordinate input from key teams and support alignment on allocation decisions.
  • Partner with sales ops to ensure handoff on retailer decks, coordination of line review calendars, and internal meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in MS&P, merchandising, or category management in a CPG/mass retailer focused business.
  • Strong experience with syndicated data and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience supporting retailer-facing initiatives such as planogram resets, line reviews, and Joint Business Plans.
  • Knowledgeable about the P&L and able to manage key drivers including pricing, trade spend, and margin optimization.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically (up to 20%).

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in MS&P, merchandising, or category management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with syndicated data and retailer-facing initiatives.
  • Understanding of the P&L and ability to manage key drivers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically (up to 20%).
