About the role
Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join their Specialty Surgery team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Swedesboro, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end care for pets, ranging from outpatient treatments to laboratory tests.
- Support services including admitting and discharging patients.
- Play an important role in pets' lives by facilitating their care.
- Work with doctors to ensure early and appropriate intervention in patient care.
- Perform advanced technical skills such as epidurals, high-risk anesthesia, and sterile techniques.
- Assess and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to support doctors.
- Show a positive work attitude and self-motivation.
- Communicate effectively and maintain excellent organizational skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
- CVT/RVT/LVT certification (active and current).
- Advanced technical skills, including experience with epidurals, high-risk anesthesia, aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, CRI calculations, etc.
- Strong anesthesia skills (obtaining blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02).
- A positive work attitude.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay
The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. An expected starting range is $29 – $35 / hour.
