About You
We are seeking a candidate who shares a team-sport mindset. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, and patient restraint. Experience or knowledge in Oncology and chemotherapy is a plus. Familiarity with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow is also a plus. This position involves ongoing client communication, following the same patients throughout their treatment, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Requirements
- Associate's in veterinary technology is a plus.
- CVT license required for sign-on bonus.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring.
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Knowledge of procedures for scheduling patients, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests.
- Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques to sterilize various instruments and materials.
- Knowledge of instruments, materials, and standardized procedures used in the full variety of treatments to make preparations and provide tableside assistance.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services, including client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Schedule
Full-time position: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts. Holidays are required.
Compensation
Starting at $25.00–$32.00/hour, dependent upon experience and education. Additional compensation of $1,000 for VTS Sign-on bonus.
