This posting will remain open for a minimum of two weeks from the position posted date. Banfield Pet Hospital is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time LVTs for the following hospital locations: White Plains Hospital: 369 Tarrytown Rd, White Plains, NY 10607
Cortlandt Hospital: 3097 E Main St, Mohegan Lake, NY 10547.
The pay range for this role is $25.32 - $36.57/hour. Banfield White Plains Hospital is able to provide a sign-on bonus!

Responsibilities

• Provide furry, feathered, and scaled pets with the best possible care, especially preventive care
• Upon approval from supervising veterinarian, perform veterinary technician appointments. All appointments must be under the direction and supervision of veterinarian and in compliance with state law
• Build close relationships with pets and the humans who love them
• Work closely with teammates and cultivate a positive, dynamic work culture
• Impact the future of veterinary medicine with your own expertise and ways of practicing medicine

Qualifications

• A current license as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
• Experience in a veterinary clinic setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for animal welfare and veterinary medicine

Skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in computer software and electronic medical records systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
