About the role
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room, ensuring patient safety through preparation, sterilization, and support during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Preparing the operating room and sterilizing equipment
- Supporting surgical team during procedures
- Charting using EPIC system
- Assisting with common cases such as vaginal and c-section deliveries
- Floating to different areas as needed, including main OR and safety sitters
- Potential to float to other departments and assist as needed
Requirements
- Current certification from an accredited NBSTSA program
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an OR tech, with specialized experience in CVOR for cardiac cases
- State licensure and UAP certification
Schedule
- Work hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- On-call every third weekend and two holidays per year
