Certified Surg Tech – Travel Job
Job Summary
Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures.
About the Role
Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgery
- Prepare and maintain sterile field
- Assist surgeons and other surgical personnel during procedures
- Operate and monitor medical equipment
- Manage supplies and inventory
- Follow infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with surgical team members
Requirements
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
- For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- Certified Surgical Tech
- Experience working in a labor and delivery setting
- NRP
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 1900-0730
- Floating required as needed when census is low
