Certified Surg Tech – Travel Job
About the role
Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified OR tech or CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment, and Mako knee and hip experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and sterilize equipment before surgery
- Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team during procedures
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
- Manage supplies and maintain inventory in the operating room
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure smooth transition of care post-surgery
Requirements
- Current certification from a program accredited by the NBSTSA
- BLS Certification
- Experience in a surgical environment
- Preferred experience in CVOR or Mako knee/hip procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the NBSTSA
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control

Pay

Schedule
Variable start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, with 4 10-hour shifts per week. On-call once per week and every 4th weekend.
