About the role

The Certified Senior Medical Assistant position at Primary Care Group is responsible for providing comprehensive medical assistance to patients under the supervision of a physician. This role requires a minimum of five years of medical assistant experience with a focus on chronic disease management or a specialty discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-visit planning and documentation
  • Assisting with patient examinations and diagnostic procedures
  • Medication review and administration
  • Documentation of patient care in electronic medical records
  • Follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with treatment plans
  • Coordination with hospital, ED, and community resources
  • Ensuring patient satisfaction through peer-to-peer accountability

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, or Registered Medical Assistant
  • BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
  • CPT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ACA)

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Effective communication with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge of medical practices and equipment
  • Ability to develop and maintain clinical quality assurance
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes

Pay
