Certified Senior Medical Assistant- Primary Care Group (King Harbor/The Woodlands)
About the role
The Certified Senior Medical Assistant position at Primary Care Group is responsible for providing comprehensive medical assistance to patients under the supervision of a physician. This role requires a minimum of five years of medical assistant experience with a focus on chronic disease management or a specialty discipline.
Responsibilities
- Pre-visit planning and documentation
- Assisting with patient examinations and diagnostic procedures
- Medication review and administration
- Documentation of patient care in electronic medical records
- Follow-up with patients to ensure compliance with treatment plans
- Coordination with hospital, ED, and community resources
- Ensuring patient satisfaction through peer-to-peer accountability
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, or Registered Medical Assistant
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
- CPT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician (ACA)
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Effective communication with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of medical practices and equipment
- Ability to develop and maintain clinical quality assurance
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes

Pay
