Certified Senior Medical Assistant- Primary Care Group (Skinner/Cypress)
About the role
The Certified Senior Medical Assistant position at Primary Care Group is responsible for providing comprehensive medical support to patients under the supervision of a physician. This role requires a minimum of five years of medical assistant experience with a focus on managing highly complex, chronic disease cases.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for exams and treatments, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing medication reviews, and discussing medical and social histories.
- Administers treatments and provides patient care, ensuring all procedures are documented accurately in the EMR.
- Coordinates patient care with other healthcare providers and community resources, ensuring timely follow-ups and patient activation of MyChart.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and sterile environment, sterilizing instruments and preparing treatment areas.
- Collaborates with the interprofessional health care team to enhance patient care and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of medical assistant experience with highly complex, chronic disease management or in a specialty discipline.
- A certified medical assistant through AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, or Registered Medical Assistant, along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

- Continuous training and education in department-specific requirements.

Salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
