Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning and documentation
• Assisting with patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatment plans
• Communicating with patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and documenting care
• Coordinating with other healthcare providers and community resources
• Ensuring patient compliance with medications, lab results, and follow-up appointments

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Five years of medical assistant experience with chronic disease management or orthopedic specialties
• A certification as a Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, or Registered Medical Assistant
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• Certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

• Effective verbal communication with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
