About the Role
Provides anesthesia services under medical supervision for diverse surgical and medical procedures, ensuring patient safety across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and prepare patients pre-operatively, selecting appropriate anesthesia based on assessments.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients intraoperatively, ensuring stability and safety.
- Assess postoperative condition within 24 hours and respond to emergencies such as airway or cardiopulmonary issues.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and accurate documentation, including controlled substances.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and precept student nurse anesthetists.
- Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and legal requirements while maintaining professional relations.
- Airway management, monitoring, fluid and homeostasis maintenance, emergency response, and ventilator management.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and valid California RN license.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NPI.
- Experience in anesthesia for major procedures involving extensive monitoring and fluid management across all age groups.

- Staff development and precepting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent OB anesthesia experience (including epidurals).
- Professional maturity, productivity, and effective communication skills.
