About the role

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide per diem coverage within our outpatient hand therapy program. Join a nationally recognized rehabilitation organization with a strong hand therapy network, established physician relationships, and opportunities to work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the treatment of patients with upper extremity and orthopedic conditions, including tendon injuries, fractures, sprains, and post-surgical diagnoses
• Deliver care under the direction of the supervising therapist
• Collaborate with experienced hand therapists and Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs)
• Optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care
• Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
• National registration and state COTA licensure or registration (REQUIRED)
• Minimum one year of hand therapy experience (or recent hand therapy fieldwork experience for new graduates)
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Valid state driver’s license
