Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Hand Therapy

About the role

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with at least 1 year of recent hand therapy experience to support their outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Treat upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, and post-op fractures
• Work alongside experienced hand therapists and orthopedic surgeons
• Optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
• Maintain proper documentation of patient care
• Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program
• National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
• Must have previous 1 year experience working with hand therapy patients
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Valid state driver’s license

As Needed, Monday-Friday
