About the role
The Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) is seeking Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to help residents live their best lives. This is a non-exempt position eligible for a $2,000 Hiring Bonus.
Responsibilities
- Help residents with personal care tasks, promoting independence.
- Take residents on community outings and engage them in hobbies and recreation.
- Advocate for residents’ needs and goals.
- Provide expert care and assist with medical needs.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain living areas and plan care.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and keep certifications active.
Qualifications
- Current Wyoming Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate.
- Completion of internal Greenhouse (Shahbaz) training within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules to keep residents safe.
- Ability to teach new skills and follow therapy and medical care plans.
- Understanding of managing challenging behaviors and providing emotional support.
- Proficiency in using computers for note-taking and work information.
- Effective management of emotions in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of emergency safety steps such as First Aid, CPR, and crisis intervention.
- Basic medical tool knowledge and ability to use them safely.
- Ability to work independently and with multiple residents.
- Skills to intervene and redirect during resident behavior episodes.
- Experience working with individuals who have severe disabilities and challenging behaviors.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's Degree in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience in Human Services.

Schedule
