Certified Nurse Tech - Surgical Unit (Nights)

About the role

The Nursing Technician performs basic nursing care and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care including but not limited to bathing, feeding, and grooming
• Administer medications as directed by a healthcare provider
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to supervising nurse
• Help with personal hygiene and comfort measures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during daily activities

Requirements

• Ability to read and write
• No prior work experience required
• CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
• HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR)

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a practical nursing program or a student currently enrolled in a professional nursing program
• Previous experience working with patients
• One quarter of clinical experience as a student nurse
• Successful completion of a nurse aide course
• Experience from a related health care field preferred
