Role Overview

This position is for a registered nurse (RN) in a surgical unit, responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Reassessment: Systematically evaluate patients' health needs across different age groups, involving patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Nursing Diagnosis & Outcomes: Analyze assessments to determine diagnoses and expected outcomes collaboratively with the care team.
  • Care Implementation & Coordination: Provide evidence-based nursing interventions to meet patient goals, coordinating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Evaluation: Use critical thinking to assess patient outcomes, recognize issues, and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Discharge Planning: Evaluate and plan for discharge needs, utilizing available resources.
  • Professional Practice: Maintain high standards of nursing practice in accordance with regulations and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree required; BSN/MSN preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Current Oklahoma RN license or active Multistate RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
  • New graduates must complete a nurse residency program.
