About the Role
Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Nuvance Health, proudly joining Northwell Health, is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our successful and growing OB/GYN group. We are a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population that draws from multiple counties in the Hudson Valley.
We currently have 5 midwives in the practice and are seeking to increase staffing to 7. Our goal is to provide 24/7 midwifery coverage alongside our physician colleagues. If you are excited by the opportunity to help grow and shape a practice, this is the job for you!
The ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment, and to providing full scope care that is grounded in compassion and shared decision making.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope midwifery care, including two clinic days and one 24-hour call shift per week (80 hours per two-week pay period)
- Share weekend and holiday call coverage with the team
- Deliver evidence-based, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with 7 board-certified physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Admit patients exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie
Requirements
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) credential
