Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist- Per Diem – CRNA - NYP/Hudson Valley

About the role

At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) deliver exceptional care for all types of surgical procedures, cardiac cath labs, and OB. Nurse Anesthetists administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures. This per diem position offers flexible scheduling, shared clinical decision-making, and a supportive team environment.

As part of this role, you will coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure high-quality, patient-centered services, manage staffing needs, and provide staff development opportunities, including planning activities, recognition, and training sessions to foster engagement and cohesion among a growing team of experienced CRNAs.

Responsibilities

• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures.
• Coordinate clinical care to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.
• Manage staffing needs and provide staff development opportunities.
• Plan activities, recognition programs, and training sessions to increase team engagement and cohesion.

Requirements

• Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist.
• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP or DNAP).

Pay

Salary Range: $205.00/hour.

Schedule

This is a per diem position with a rotating shift.

All roles require on-site presence, so employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
