Certified Medication Aide - Full Time Evening

About the role

The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision, ensuring age-appropriate physical and psychological support.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Record vital signs, provide psycho-social support, and assist with transfers and range of motion exercises
• Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring a positive dining experience, and administer prescribed medications as delegated
• Document resident care, medication outcomes, and communicate changes to the charge nurse
• Collect non-invasive specimens, support wellness and recreational activities, and maintain a clean environment
• Participate in departmental committees and ongoing education efforts

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 18 preferred
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred
• Completion of required state-specific CNA and medication aide certifications
• Maintain ongoing continuing education and certifications as per state regulations
• Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
