About the role
As a Certified Medical Assistant 2, you will help patients' physical well-being under a doctor's guidance. This role emphasizes teamwork and a positive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Offer help during patient examinations and treatments, under the guidance of a physician.
- Set up treatment rooms for patient examinations and ensure their cleanliness post-procedure.
- Accompany patients from the waiting area, preparing them for their examination.
- Conduct patient interviews to obtain medical information and document it in their medical history.
- Take and record patient vital signs.
- Carry out routine patient tests, process electrocardiograms, and collect specimen samples.
- Administer medications as instructed by a physician.
- Change dressings and remove sutures and staples.
- Undertake administrative tasks like answering calls and scheduling appointments.
- Promote team productivity through huddles and meetings, and assist in the mentoring and training of staff members.

- Experience with medical charts and records.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Manual blood pressure experience.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience.
- Obtaining a Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 30 days of joining.
- Must be a CMA from one of the following:
- Nat Cert Med Asst (NCMA) from NCCT,
- Cert Med Asst (CMA) from AAMA or ARMA,
- Cert Cln Med Asst (CCMA) from NHA,
- Reg Med Asst (RMA) from AMT, AAMP, or AAH,
- Nat Reg Cert Med Asst (NRCMA) from NAHP,
- Cln Med Asst Cert (CMAC) from AMCA.
