Responsibilities

• Helping patients during examinations and treatments under the guidance of a physician.
• Setting up and cleaning treatment rooms after procedures.
• Accompanying patients to examination areas and preparing them.
• Conducting patient interviews to gather medical information and documenting it.
• Taking and recording patient vital signs.
• Carrying out routine patient tests, processing ECGs, and collecting specimens.
• Administering medications as directed by the physician.
• Changing dressings and removing sutures and staples.
• Performing administrative tasks such as answering calls and scheduling appointments.
• Mentoring and training staff members to enhance team productivity.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within thirty days of employment.
• A CMA certification from one of the recognized bodies: NCCT (Nat Cert Med Asst), AAMA (Cert Med Asst), NHA (Cert Cln Med Asst), AMT (Reg Med Asst), NAHP (Nat Reg Cert Med Asst), or AMCA (Cln Med Asst Cert).

Qualifications

• An understanding of safe medical practices and precise medication administration.
• The ability to document patient information accurately.
• The capacity to monitor patients' overall health and report any abnormalities.
• Proficiency in administering injections and drawing blood.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Exceptional patient care skills, including a comforting bedside manner.
• The ability to follow instructions given by physicians closely.
• Experience with medical charts and records.
