About the role

The Adult Outpatient Pavilion at our clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care for a diverse range of patients, including those across the life span for their GYN health needs, throughout their pregnancy and postpartum periods. Our team includes CMAs, LPNs, RNs, Sonographers, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Certified Nurse Midwives who collaborate to offer comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.
  • Handle, transport, and manage medications and related supplies as required.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care is coordinated and effective.
  • Support the management of patient records and documentation as directed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements: Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association.
  • Experience: One (1) year of medical assistant work experience within the last three (3) years if not a graduate of a medical assistant program; no work experience if a graduate of a medical assistant program.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, or Graduation from a Medical Assisting training program from an accredited program of study such as CAAHEP or ABHES.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, two (2) to three (3) years preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience utilizing strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

The Certified Medical Assistant works all three shifts, weekends, and holidays. Shift rotation and schedules will be established with the specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager.
