Responsibilities
- Communicates with patients and clinical staff to coordinate and schedule clinical visits across a range of clinical services.
- Reviews and interprets incoming clinical orders delivered by phone and fax. Inputs orders into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) scheduling system.
- Reviews automated work queues to guide and prioritize optimization.
- Interviews patients and documents information into EMR scheduling system.
- Reviews records for accuracy.
- Captures follow-up appointments.
- Communicates with patients in a timely and effective manner regarding their care.
- Patiently and clearly explains information using cultural competency and active listening.
Other Information
- Education Requirements: High school graduate or GED.
- Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA or NCC NCMA).
- Professional Experience Requirements: 2 years in the Healthcare/Medical - Certified Medical Technician (CMT).
