Certified Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Fort Worth, TX 76177.

Local contract, 3+ months (possibility of extension or conversion).

Schedule

7:30am–5:00pm

Pay

$21/hr to $23.40/hr. Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties

• Perform clinical duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice, including venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, wound care, medication administration, and operation of diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment and exam/treatment rooms while following infection control and safety protocols.
• Room patients, prepare them for examinations, and accurately document patient care and clinical information in medical records.
• Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, follow company policies and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO), and conduct non-clinical patient intake and information gathering.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide courteous, respectful service while supporting overall clinic operations and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Certification(s): nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification.
• Years of experience: 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
