Certified Medical Assistant
Novant Health Rock Hill Family Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our compassionate and patient-focused team. About the role
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will coordinate and assist providers in delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care to patients within our practice. You will play an essential role in ensuring efficient clinic operations while creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
- Administer medications and immunizations within scope of practice.
Requirements
- Education: High School or GED, required.
- Current certification from one of the approved certifying registries:
- CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
- RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- American Allied Health (AAH)
- RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
- Current State Driver’s License (Palliative Care Only), required.
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
