About the role

The Central Jersey Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. Established in 2002, the CJMC operates clinics in Perth Amboy, Carteret, and Newark, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Duties include rooming patients, obtaining laboratory/radiology/ER/hospital reports, immunization entry, EKG and waived laboratory testing, pre-visit prep, administering injectable medications, completing medical forms, record release forms, setting up and cleaning patient examination rooms, maintaining laboratory logs, assisting providers and nurses in patient flow, and maintaining a professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Diploma from a technical school and national certification from an accredited association.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of EHR database software.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid CPR, National Certification in Medical Assisting (AAMA, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA).
• Language: Fluent in Spanish.
