Responsibilities

  • Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal.
  • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
  • Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment and examination of patient.
  • Avoid delays in performing ordered tests and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • Maintain awareness of comfort and needs of the patient.
  • Perform phlebotomy and drug screens, DOT & Non DOT Physicals.
  • Respond to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
  • Prepare rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

  • Desired characteristics include ability to utilize electronic medical records systems, proficient use of lab and medical equipment, and providing customer service in accordance to clinic mission.
  • Desirable physical demands include ability to stand or be on one’s feet for extended periods, bend, and kneel.

About the Role

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to provide superior out-patient care for our Urgent Care located in Fuquay-Varina, NC. The successful candidate will, through clinical experience, possess general knowledge of standard care procedures, sanitation, and medical records documentation. Good interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and technical skills are desired candidate assets.

Ability to utilize electronic medical records systems, proficient use of lab and medical equipment, providing customer service in accordance to clinic mission, demonstrating ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members.
