Certified Clinical Trainer EPIC
About the role
The Epic Credentialed Trainer delivers effective and functional Epic Training to new hire and other end users in assigned Epic applications working to maximize learning and retention with their students. Students may include providers, clinicians, and non-clinical staff depending on specialization areas. This role works closely with the Epic Principal Trainers for their applications to learn principles of adult learning, effective classroom teaching, and how to use specific areas of Epic.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Epic Training to new hire and other end users in assigned Epic applications.
- Work closely with Epic Principal Trainers to learn principles of adult learning, effective classroom teaching, and how to use specific areas of Epic.
- Go through a rigorous credentialing program meeting Epic’s detailed requirements for a trainer, including presenting in front of a panel of experts to demonstrate Epic knowledge, ability to handle questions, and classroom teaching style.
- Once credentialed, deliver the lessons as written meeting the needs of the organization and the new users.
- Assist in the validation of new Epic Training materials/lessons, competency assessments, and quarterly upgrade communications.
- Be a primary member of the Epic support team, rounding in end users’ operational areas when not in classes and assisting end users needing immediate assistance.
