Job Summary

The Operating Room Open Heart Tech–Surgical Tech is responsible for pulling cases, scrubbing cases, and assisting the physician during surgery. This role requires knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. The position also involves promoting customer service initiatives, functioning as a scrub person during operative procedures, demonstrating ability to perform technical skills and procedures, and delivering compassionate, holistic care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
• Surgical Technician certification required
• BLS Certification current
• One year of surgery experience preferred in the following areas: Open heart, General, GYN, Urology, Plastics, and Orthopedics
• No travel required
