Responsibilities
- Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and others in the CVOR.
- Updates surgeon preference cards, maintains specialty surgical supplies and instrument trays, and mentors new CST team members in orientation and RN team members learning to scrub cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
- Works in a high-stress, fast-paced environment caring for high acuity patients.
- Anticipates surgeon needs and performs as a leader in the CVOR.
Requirements
- High School Degree
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology (non-accredited schools accepted if hired prior to 2019)
- Surgical Technologist certification required
