Ceramics Technician

About the Role

Maintains ceramics facilities and provides technical and instructional support to students and faculty in the safe operation of ceramics equipment. Prepares clay and glazes for students, organizes supplies, and sets up classrooms for teaching a variety of classes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of equipment and material inventory.
• Receive and process palletized materials following safety protocols.
• Load, fire, and unload kilns as necessary.
• Interact professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in ceramics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related professional or academic experience.
