Kitting Technician

About the role

At DHL Supply Chain, you will play a part in one of the world’s most essential industries. The Kitting Technician assembles, inspects, cleans, packages, and kits machined parts and bought-in items necessary for various customized kits. This role ensures production goals are met by delivering quality work in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to pull and package exact parts, tools, or materials.
• Assemble components and produce quality work, free from errors in a clean room environment.
• Maintain area and tool cleanliness.
• Perform complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.
• Manage and control inventory, including monitoring stock levels, tracking part shortages, and using warehouse management or inventory software.
• Verify components match part numbers, check for defects or damage before packing, and accurately label kits.
• Deliver completed kits to production lines, assembly floors, or designated work areas to prevent workflow delays.
• Adhere to strict workplace regulations, including FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention and using PPE like steel-toe shoes or cleanroom suits.
• Use tools to assemble parts and work independently or as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or production environment.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong basic math, basic computer, and database skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field of study.
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• 6 months of experience in a complex kitting or assembly environment.

Pay

$24.35 per hour.

Schedule

First (1st) Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
