Job Summary

Patient Care Representatives are essential for creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients. They greet and direct patients, assist with check-ins, and handle various administrative tasks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet and direct all patients, visitors, and staff upon entry.
  • Maintain the reception areas and provide assistance as needed.
  • Verify and assist with patient questionnaires and forms.
  • Print daily schedules and disseminate information via phone and computer systems.
  • Handle walk-in patients, scheduling inquiries, and prescription/record pick-ups.
  • Update next-day charts and complete appointment confirmations.
  • Ensure a tidy and safe workspace for both patients and staff.
  • Collect payments and fill out necessary reports and forms.

Competencies

  • Demonstrated knowledge of materials, methods, instruments, and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to patient inquiries.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and respond positively to patient requests.
  • Associate's degree preferred.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
