General Function
A central scheduler in the Practice will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, and resource management to support the overall functioning of the Practice.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact with patients to schedule appointments, provide information about procedures, and answer questions related to scheduling.
- Maintain and update the schedules, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on appointments, meetings, and other commitments.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient appointments, cancellations, and reschedules.
- Communicate effectively with team within the practice to ensure smooth coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and appointment requirements to facilitate a seamless check-in process.
- Ensure compliance with Practice policies, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and other relevant guidelines related to scheduling and patient information.
- Manage last minute changes, cancellations, and urgent appointment requests while maintaining a balanced schedule.
- Proficiently use scheduling software and electronic health records systems to streamline the scheduling process and maintain accurate records.
- Strive to enhance the patient's experience by minimizing wait times, providing clear instructions, and addressing scheduling-related concerns promptly.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Organization skills and ability to multitask
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with in-store technology, such as point of sale, patient record systems and other software applications
- Proven ability to identify issues and solve problems
- Strong interpersonal skills
Total Rewards
- Pay Range: 20.51 - 31.73
