Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient appointments for various hospital services.
- Utilize scheduling software and electronic medical records systems to accurately input and update patient information, appointment details, and physician preferences.
- Collaborate with clinical departments, physicians, and administrative staff to optimize scheduling efficiency while prioritizing patient needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide appointment reminders, explain procedures, and address any concerns or questions.
- Cookordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate billing information.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and accommodate urgent or emergent appointment requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in healthcare scheduling, medical office administration, or customer service is preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and electronic medical records is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and colleagues is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, are necessary.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to HIPAA regulations is crucial.
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service excellence is expected.
Salary
$18 - $22 per hour
