About the role
This individual can sit in our WSP locations in either Dallas, TX / Tulsa, OK / Corpus Christi, TX.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and status integrated project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Work with project managers, engineering leads, construction teams, contractors, and consultants to collect schedule updates, validate logic, and align activities with project execution plans.
- Monitor critical path, float, milestones, progress trends, and schedule variances, identifying potential risks and recommending practical recovery or mitigation actions.
- Review contractor and consultant schedules for completeness, logic, sequencing, resource loading, progress updates, and alignment with contractual and program requirements.
- Prepare schedule reports, look-aheads, milestone summaries, and executive-level updates that clearly communicate schedule status, risks, and required decisions.
- Support baseline schedule development, schedule updates, change impact analysis, delay analysis, and schedule recovery planning as needed.
- Coordinate schedule data with cost controls, risk management, document controls, and reporting teams to support integrated project controls and accurate performance reporting.
- Use scheduling information to support progress meetings, client discussions, contractor coordination, and timely escalation of schedule-related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling standards, templates, reporting practices, and Primavera P6 schedule quality across Power & Energy programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent scheduling or project controls experience will also be considered.
- 7+ years experience in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for capital projects.
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is strongly preferred, including schedule development, logic review, progress updates, critical path analysis, and schedule reporting.
- Working knowledge of scheduling best practices, baseline management, change impact analysis, milestone tracking, and schedule risk identification.
- Familiarity with project controls tools and reporting platforms such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar systems is helpful.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to translate schedule data into clear updates for project teams, contractors, clients, and leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience in the Power & Energy industry, including transmission, substation, or other infrastructure programs.
