Responsibilities
- Meet quarterly goals, including staffing, hours per labor efficiency standards, cost per liter (CPL) targets, and Quality key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create an organizational environment and value systems that stimulate morale, productivity, and leadership.
- Operate the center and manage employees and operations to the highest standard of ethics and integrity.
- Ensure training and quality goals are met and implement operational changes to maximize center efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate operations, developing action plans to improve efficiency and supervising process improvements.
- Manage headcount to provide efficient staffing through production fluctuations, providing accurate projections for cyclical, seasonal, or situational spikes.
- Direct all personnel functions, including hiring, work assignments, development, training, disciplinary actions, termination, and maintenance of personnel records.
- Provide strategic direction and planning.
- Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, shipment, and records completion through the Assistant Manager.
- Ensure adequate training of production employees and demonstrate task performance to meet company standards.
- Maintain inventory of goods and supplies, overseeing ordering as needed.
- Ensure the facility is kept neat and clean, and equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Manage freezer operations, including plasma shipments and equipment failures, and respond to all freezer alarms appropriately.
- Develop community representation for public relations and marketing campaigns to attract and retain donors.
- Maintain familiarity and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP.
- Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records to uphold production standards in accordance with regulations and procedures.
- Direct management and training staff to meet training and quality goals.
- Build rapport with donors to ensure customer satisfaction and support long-term donation.
- Work with division/corporate management to prepare the annual budget and manage the facility to achieve production targets and quality goals at the agreed-upon cost structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in clinical or general business settings.
- Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment preferred.
- Experience with plasma or whole blood preferred.
