Job Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, United States, 14642
Full-time position, 40 scheduled weekly hours, primarily days (Monday – Friday).
Responsibilities
- Work with preoperative surgical patients for both hospital and ambulatory surgical centers through the Center for Perioperative Medicine (CPM).
- Ensure patients are optimally prepared for surgery to enhance outcomes and minimize preventable OR cancellations and delays.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing staff, and established APPs.
- Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, active New York State Registered Nurse license, active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure, and current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Physician Assistant: Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, active New York State Physician Assistant licensure, and current national certification by NCCPA.
- Demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, customer relation skills, and computer competence.
- Active desire to learn and preferably 3-5 years of medical/surgical experience.
- Ability to work with adult and pediatric patients preferred, but will consider experienced adult APPs.
Pay
The compensation range for this job is $98,508.00 - $132,995.00. Individual annual salaries will be determined based on factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
