CDL Driver Class A

About the role

The position is M-F. Hours vary depending on daily route. (1-2 overnights a week.)

Responsibilities

• Operates a manual transmission to drive to destinations.
• Distributes receipts for loads picked up.
• Collects payment for goods delivered and delivery charges.
• Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
• Communicates with supervisors via phone or radio for delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Safely secures cargo during transit.

Requirements

• Current and active Class A Georgia Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Previous over-the-road experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Familiarity with pre and post-trip inspections and online log systems.
• Experience with overnight trips (1 night a week).

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Physical ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of map reading.

Skills

• CDL License.
• Passing Driver's Test.
• Passing DOT Physical / Drug Testing.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Pay

$24-$25/hour, with quarterly safety bonus opportunities.
