About the Role
This position involves operating heavy and light-duty trucks, including vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and tankers, to support environmental response, hazardous waste cleanup, and remediation projects. The driver will perform both driving and field duties such as soil excavation, waste removal, containment, decontamination, and equipment operation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely, conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs.
- Assist with emergency cleanup, site decontamination, and equipment operation.
- Prepare work areas, handle waste, and support confined space entries and high-pressure washing.
- Complete necessary documentation and follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety protocols.
- Coordinate with team members and clients, ensuring safe transport and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred.
- 1-2 years of CDL driving experience with a clean MVR; environmental or industrial experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with digital tools and safety documentation.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
