About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking CLASS B City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) drivers for its Knoxville, TN Service Center. Drivers are home every day, work a first‑shift, full‑time schedule (Monday – Friday), and earn one week of vacation after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform city delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Make multiple stops each workday, using scan equipment to track shipments.
• Interact directly with customers, providing excellent service.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack and/or dolly as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license.
• Clean driving record / Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Preferred: experience making deliveries in cities and small towns.
• Preferred: experience using a lift gate and pallet jack.
• Hazmat endorsement (preferred).

Pay

$29.02 per hour.
