CDL-B Truck Driver local
About the role
As a CLASS B Truck Driver at R+L Carriers' Danville Service Center, you will be responsible for city delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily. This involves multiple stops per working day, working with scan equipment, interacting with customers, and performing potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack and/or dolly.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up freight in a city setting
- Use scan equipment to track deliveries
- Work directly with customers to ensure accurate deliveries
- Perform liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack and/or dolly
Requirements / Qualifications
- CDL Class B License
- Good driving record / MVR
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering in a commercial vehicle in cities and small towns
- Experience using a lift gate and pallet jack
