About the role
R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for CLASS B Truck Drivers at our Salem, VA Service Center. As a City P&D Driver, you will be responsible for city delivery and pickup of freight and returning to the terminal daily. This includes multiple stops per working day, working with scan equipment, working directly with customers, and completing potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack and/or dolly.

Requirements / Qualifications
- CDL Class B License
- Good driving record / MVR
- Must be capable of delivering excellent customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
- Preferred: Experience making deliveries in a commercial vehicle in cities and small towns
- Experience using a lift gate and pallet jack
- Hazmat endorsement preferred

Qualifications
As a City P&D Driver, you must have a CDL Class B License, a good driving record, and be capable of delivering excellent customer service. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience making deliveries in a commercial vehicle in cities and small towns, experience using a lift gate and pallet jack, and a hazmat endorsement.
Schedule
This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, with the opportunity to earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
Pay
$33.41 per hour
