CDL B - Local - Truck Driver

About the role

Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for their Columbus, OH location. The ideal candidate must have a CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement or a CDL Class A driver’s license with 1 year of CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience. Flatbed and Moffett experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites and unload material as requested by customers.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, process inventory, and move materials to designated areas.
• Continually lift up to 100 lbs. of material throughout the day, with some lifting over 100 lbs. necessary.
• Unload trucks and receive merchandise at the warehouse.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations on weight distribution.

Requirements

• CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license.
• 1 year of CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience.
• Crane or knuckleboom operating training available.
• Moffett and flatbed experience desired.
• Forklift and box truck operating experience.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
