CDL-A Flatbed Steel Hauler

Run dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight with organized backhaul planning, weekend home time, and weekly earnings of $2,000 to $2,100.

Pay

Weekly pay of $2,000 to $2,100. Qualified drivers are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

Home every weekend with a 34-hour reset.

Responsibilities

• Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight from a customer near Calvert, Alabama.
• Move available backhaul freight to position the truck for the next outbound load.
• Stay with the same trailer throughout each trip.
• Handle primarily live loaded and live unloaded freight (no drop-and-hook).
• Tarp approximately 75% of shipments using lighter six-foot drop tarps (tarp pay included in compensation).

Freight Details

• Outbound loads include smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets.
• Planned backhaul freight toward Alabama.
• Reduced empty miles between loads.

Equipment

Assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors paired with 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers equipped with 12 winches, straps, and two six-foot drop tarps.

Orientation & Benefits

• Orientation is held Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day.
• Hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements provided.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license.
• Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years.
• Minimum six months of flatbed experience.
• Steel-hauling experience required.
• Current coil-hauling certification required.
• Experience with tarping and load securement required.
• Acceptable driving record.
