CDL-A Flatbed Steel Hauler

Run dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight with weekend home time, planned backhaul loads, and weekly earnings of $2,000 to $2,100 in this CDL-A driving position based in Mobile, AL 36602.

Pay

• Weekly pay of $2,000 to $2,100
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers
• $100 per day orientation pay

Schedule & Home Time

• Home every weekend with a 34-hour reset
• Paid orientation Monday through Thursday
• Hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements provided during orientation

Equipment

• Assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors
• 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers equipped with 12 winches, straps, and two six-foot drop tarps

Freight & Routes

• Dedicated stainless-steel flatbed freight originating near Calvert, Alabama
• Planned backhaul loads to keep equipment moving efficiently
• Primarily live loading and unloading (no drop and hook)
• Outbound freight includes smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets
• Approximately 75% of loads require tarping using lighter six-foot drop tarps
• Tarp pay included in overall compensation

Responsibilities

• Haul dedicated stainless-steel freight
• Secure freight and work with tarp loads
• Maintain assigned trailer throughout each trip

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
• Minimum six months of flatbed experience
• Steel-hauling experience required
• Current coil-hauling certification required
• Experience with tarping and load securement required
• Acceptable driving record
